A newly constructed two-storey Information and Communication Technology building with air conditioned classroom and laboratory along with two new offices for the Campus Research Development and Extension Services and Campus Business Affairs were inaugurated and blessed yesterday, April 12, 2018.
Dr. Ricmar Aquino, ISU President, Atty. Romano Cammayo, VP for Administration & Finance and Dr. Junel Soriano, Executive Officer of Ilagan Campus along with other campus officials led the activity.
A main highlight of the event was the turn over of the symbolic key from EdPin Construction Co., the construction firm that constructed the ICT building, headed by its Gen. Manager Engr. Edmund Pintucan to Dr. Ricmar Aquino, ISU President.
Moreover, a ribbon cutting ceremony was also made to formally and officially signal the Campus’ occupancy of the ICT Building particularly by its ICT Department headed by Prof. Eddison Tuliao.
In separate speeches, both President Ricmar Acquino and Dr. Soriano said that the construction of the new ICT Building is for the benefit of the students and the massive physical development now taking place at ISU Ilagan only bespeaks the continuing effort of the University to give its best services in the education of young Isabelinos.
President Aquino also announced the construction of more infra projects within the year and next.
A 22 million building for the College of Engineering and Architecture is soon to be erected. Another projects are lined up in 2019 with a budget allocation amounting to 75 million pesos, Dr. Aquino mentioned.
A 60M Health Innovation Center and a 15M building for the Department of Arts and Sciences are eyed for construction next year.
Rev. Fr. Vener Ceperez officiated the blessings of the new ICT building, RDET Office, CBAO Office and the two newly purchased single motorcycles.
The whole activity was joined and witnessed by faculty, non-teaching staff and students.
